Kanya Sumangala Yojana 2024

Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana has been started by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Through this scheme, after the birth of girls, an amount of ₹ 15000 is provided to them in 6 installments. This scheme also provides social and economic security to girls. Apart from this, negative thinking regarding daughters can also be improved through this scheme. Only those families of Uttar Pradesh whose annual income is maximum ₹ 300000 or less can avail the benefit of this scheme. The budget of this scheme has been fixed at Rs 1200 crore by the government. Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana is operated by the Women and Child Development Department. This scheme will also prove effective in improving the future of daughters. Apart from this, daughters will be encouraged to pursue higher education through this scheme.

While giving gifts to the daughters of the state on the occasion of Rakshabandhan, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath interacted with the beneficiaries of Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana in a program organized at Lucknow Lok Bhavan and announced increase in the funds of this scheme. During this program, the Chief Minister transferred an amount of Rs 5.82 crore through a single click to the bank accounts of 29,523 beneficiary girls under Kanya Sumangala Yojana. The Chief Minister also said that the government is now going to increase the amount of Rs 15,000 given under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana to Rs 25,000 from the financial year 2024-25. This will help in realizing the dreams of daughters and after getting educated, daughters will be able to become self-reliant.

6 categories of Kanya Sumangala Yojana 2024

Category 1 –    Financial assistance of Rs 2000 will be provided to the newborn girls of Uttar Pradesh who were born on or after April 1, 2019.

Category 2-    After this, when the girl has been vaccinated within 1 year and is not born before April 1, 2018, an amount of Rs 1000 will be provided to her.

Category 3-   This will include the girl who has taken admission in class 1 in the current academic session, she will be given Rs 2000 from the government.

Category 4-   In this, the girl who has taken admission in class 6 during the current academic session will be benefited with an amount of Rs 2000.

Category 5-    This will include those girls who have taken admission in class 9 during the current academic session, they will be provided an amount of Rs 3000.
