  1. In the Mahaurja Kusum solar pump yojana, applicantswill be required to pay 10 percent from general group applicants and 5 percent from scheduled caste and scheduled tribe applicants as beneficiary share.

Mahakrishi Urja Abhiyan – Pradhan Mantri Kusum Yojana Important Notice
  1. Farmers benefited under Atal Solar Agricultural Pump Yojana-1 & 2 and Mukhyamantri Solar Agricultural Pump Yojana are not eligible for Mahakrishi Energy Abhiyan PM-Kusum Component-B Scheme. So they should not fill the online application on the portal of Mahakrishni Urja Abhiyan PM-Kusum Component-B scheme. However, if the application is submitted, their application will be cancelled. Under the Mahakrishi Energy Abhiyan PM-Kusum Component-B scheme, one beneficiary farmer should submit an application for a single solar farm pump. If more than one application is submitted, the other application will be cancelled.
  2. It has also been observed that the farmers who have benefited from the solar farm pump under the above scheme keep the solar farm pump and install another solar farm pump under the Mahakrishi Urja Abhiyan PM- Kusum Component-B scheme, pretending not to have benefited. Please note that if such matter is noticed, the solar farm pump will be taken away from them and the beneficiary share amount paid by them will be confiscated and an FIR will be lodged against such farmers.

What is the Beneficiary Eligibility for Solar Energy Farm Pump Yojana?

  • All farmers who have access to sustainable water sources will be eligible. But such a farmer must not have conventional electricity connection in the same group number. Also HVDS should not be included below. This group number should not have availed the benefit of Atal Solar Agricultural Pump Yojana-1 and 2 Mukhyamantri Solar Agricultural Pump Yojana earlier.
  • Farmers holding agricultural land up to 2.5 acres will be paid solar agricultural pumps of up to 3 horsepower, farmers holding agricultural land between 2.51 to 5 acres will be paid 5 horsepower and farmers holding agricultural land above 5 acres will be paid solar agricultural pumps of 7.5 horsepower.
  • Farmers who are not electrified by conventional energy in the state, farmers who do not get a no-objection certificate from the Forest Department for electrification, if the distance of the agricultural pump is more than 600 meters from the nearest high-pressure channel, such agricultural pump applicants will be given electricity connection through off-grid solar agricultural pump.
  • Farmers from remote areas, farmers who have benefited under Dhadak Irrigation Scheme of Maharashtra Government will get priority under the said scheme.
  • Individual or community farms, owners of borewells and perennial rivers/streams
  • Farmers with adjacent agricultural land will also be eligible for this scheme, farmers who have access to bore wells, wells and rivers etc. A sustainable source of water will be ensured at the site through megapower. However, the said pumps shall not be used for pumping water from water reservoirs for water conservation works.
