Introduction
- Government of Rajasthan launched lots of welfare scheme in the year 2023.
- Every scheme targets the most needy section of society.
- On 10-08-2023, Government of Rajasthan launched another major social reform scheme called “Indira Gandhi Smartphone Scheme”.
- The main objective behind launching Rajasthan Indira Gandhi Smartphone Scheme is to aware women and girls about Rajasthan Government Schemes with the help of technology.
- Department of Information and Technology is the nodal department of this scheme.
- Indira Gandhi Smartphone Scheme is also known by some other names in the state such as :- “Rajasthan Mukhyamantri Digital Seva Yojana” or “Rajasthan Indira Gandhi Smartphone Yojana” or “Rajasthan Indira Gandhi Free Smartphone Scheme for Women” or “Rajasthan Indira Gandhi Free Smartphone Scheme”.
- Free of cost smartphones will be provided under Indira Gandhi Smartphone Scheme to every women and girls belonging to chiranjeevi family.
- It is to be expected that around 1 Crore 35 Lakh Women and Girls is going to receive the free smartphone under Indira Gandhi Smartphone Scheme.
- Apart from smartphone, sim card with internet connectivity for 3 years will also provided.
- Smartphone under Indira Gandhi Smartphone Yojana will be distributed in 2 phase.
- In first phase below mentioned 40 Lakh women and girls will receive the free smartphone under Indira Gandhi Smartphone Scheme :-
- Widow or Destitute Women who receive Pension.
- Class 9th to Class 12th Government School Students.
- College/ University/ Polytechnic/ ITI Girl Students.
- Women who complete 50 Days of work in IGSRGS.
- Women who complete 100 Days of work in MNREGA.
- Remaining 95 Lakh Women and Girls will get free of cost smartphone with sim card in second phase of Indira Gandhi Smartphone Scheme.
- To get smartphone, Beneficiary will have to visit their nearest Mehngai Rahat Camp or Indira Gandhi Smartphone Scheme Camp.

Eligibility Conditions
- Beneficiary Women/ Girl should be a Resident of Rajasthan.
- Family of Women/ Girl Beneficiary should be Registered in Chiranjeevi Scheme.
- Smartphone under Indira Gandhi Smartphone Scheme will be provided to following beneficiaries in first phase :-
- Widow or Destitute Pension Recipient Women.
- Girl Studying in Class 9th to Class 12th in Government School.
- Girl Studying in College/ University/ Polytechnic/ ITI.
- Women who Completed 50 Days work in Indira Gandhi Shehri Rojgar Guarantee Scheme.
- Women who Completed 100 Days work in MNREGA Scheme.
Documents Required
- The following documents is needed at the time of applying for free of cost smartphone under Rajasthan Indira Gandhi Smartphone Scheme :-
- Jan Aadhar Card.
- Passport Size Photo.
- PPO Number. (For Widow and Destitute Women)
- Girl Student Identity Card Number.
- Mobile Number. (Registered with Jan Aadhar Card)
- Aadhar Card.
How to Apply
- Eligible Women and Girls will have to visit their nearest Mehngai Rahat Camp or Indira Gandhi Smartphone Scheme Camp for registration.
- Beneficiary can first check their Eligibility for Indira Gandhi Smartphone Scheme Here.
- After that visit the camp, which is divided into 6 zones for registration and smartphone distribution.
- Rajiv Gandhi Yuva Mitra present at Camps will help the beneficiaries for Indira Gandhi Smartphone Scheme Registration.
- In Zone 1, Verification of Beneficiary’s Aadhar Card, Jan Aadhar Card and Photo will be done.
- Then E Wallet App will be downloaded in beneficiaries Jan Aadhar Card registered mobile.
- The following Application Form will have to be filled by beneficiaries in Zone 2 :-
- Indira Gandhi Smartphone Scheme Application Form.
- E Wallet KYC Form.
- Telecom Service Provider (TSP) Form.
- Form- 60.
- Thereafter in Zone 3, Beneficiary women or girl would have to select the Telecom Services Provider. (From Airtel, Jio or Vi)
- Then in Zone 4, Beneficiary has to choose their favorite smartphone.
- In Zone 5, officials present will register the chosen sim and smartphone details in Indira Gandhi Smartphone Scheme Official Portal.
- After that an amount of Rs. 6, 800/- (6175 for Smartphone and 625 for Sim and Data Plan) will be transferred in the E Wallet of Beneficiary.
- Women and Girl then pay the amount through E Wallet and get their Smartphone.
